Lafarge UAE signs a long-term contract with Emarat for Natural Gas

In line with our commitment and continued efforts towards sustainability, Lafarge UAE has recently signed an agreement with Emarat, signaling the start of the Natural Gas Project in the region.
Olivier Milhaud, GM of Lafarge Emirates Cement says, “ Our recent tie-in with Emarat is an important milestone in our efforts towards reducing carbon emissions and encouraging the use of a clean and environment-friendly energy in our operations. We believe that this cooperation with Emarat will contribute to support the UAE’s journey towards mitigation of climate change and net zero carbon”

Natural gas is a cleaner energy source and a nod in the direction of Holcim's sustainability target as well as UAE's vision to reduce carbon footprint.
